Franchise Update Media awarded the Floor Coverings International franchise system its annual Innovation Award for Most Innovative Consumer Self-Service Tools. This is the second year in a row the rapidly growing custom flooring franchise has won the award and this year’s award was for its FranConnect and Lumin.ai Smart Scheduler technology.

2020 has been a challenging year for most service companies as customers stayed home and have limited contact. Floor Coverings CEO Tom Wood was quick to adapt and pushed to launch the company’s new virtual scheduling technology, which replicates the experience of seeing samples in a showroom inside a person’s home.

Floor Coverings International aimed to bridge the time gap between prospects and franchise sales personnel through immediate response times by investing in new technology. The brand implemented new artificial intelligence software to drive sales. 

“The integration of this technology has given our franchisees the ability to increase their conversion of digital leads by up to 18 percent resulting in significant revenue and profitability gains for the individual franchisees,” said Tom Wood president and CEO of Floor Coverings International.
