Throughout his career, he has worked with Fortune 500 companies in the transportation and logistics sectors. Matt has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills, managing over 250 employees at a time. His deep understanding and emphasis on customer service, relationship-building, and employee satisfaction have been key factors in his professional success.
Ashley Lee has spent her career working across various sectors, including content creation, marketing, and event planning for small businesses and not-for-profit organizations throughout the Midwest. Her diverse background has equipped her with comprehensive skills and a creative approach to business.
Ashley said, “Working in my fields while also holding board positions on both school and sport teams, is not easy. Yet, my diligence, ability to multi-task, delegate and spearhead initiatives are a perfect fit for the multiple hats I wear every single day. I love meeting people and fostering relationships; it’s always been in my nature to make friends and connections wherever I go.”
In 2020, the couple relocated to Kansas City for Matt’s job. Within three years, his company began to shut down, leaving Matt facing an uncertain future in his industry for the first time. The couple decided it was time to take control of their own destiny as a family of six.
“It led us to research investment opportunities,” explained Ashley. “In our research, we came across Floor Coverings International. Ashley and Matt have replaced flooring in three houses over the years, experiencing the difficulties of home renovation. They understand the importance of communication and decision-making in ensuring project success. Ashley continued, “We saw the side our customers see, and it wasn’t always pretty. Time delays, errors, shifting blame to the installer, we’d seen it all.”
