Scott Napier, a British Columbia native who recently became a U.S. citizen, has opened Floor Coverings International of Central Seattle, bringing the company’s Mobile Flooring Showroom® directly to homeowners in Central Seattle, West Seattle, Mercer Island, Renton Highlands and Newcastle.
After 20 years as a senior vice president in banking, Napier said he was ready to leave behind the constraints of corporate life and build something he could truly call his own.
“For years, I had the opportunity to build teams, improve operations and help organizations perform at a higher level, and I’m proud of that work,” said Napier. “But owning your own business is different. It gives you the chance to build something lasting for your family, your customers, and your community. That was the opportunity for which I was ready.”
Napier’s move into entrepreneurship was anything but impulsive. In addition to his long banking career, his background includes sales, management, construction and previous business ownership, experiences he says shaped the way he approaches customer service, problem-solving, and leadership.
Now, he is bringing those skills to the flooring industry, where he sees strong opportunities for homeowners seeking both convenience and better-performing products.
